Lorena Lopez
Funeral Director/Embalmer
A a native of the area and Alumni of Kemp High School, Lorena is familiar with the surrounding communities and its distinct needs. She is the first ever Distinguished Graduate of Mortuary Science and number one in her class at the San Antonio College of Mortuary Science. Lorena’s passion is taking care of the deceased, guiding people through the process as compassionately as possible, and helping families celebrate the life of their loved ones. When asked what made you decide to take this job? Lorena responded “As someone with a lot of empathy, compassion and a “servant’s heart,” I found I had a desire to help people who are going through one of the worst times of their lives.” On her downtime, Lorena is a foodie, likes to read fiction, do crosswords, play videogames and listen to live music.
Jerome R. Wilkerson
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Jerome R. Wilkerson is a 3rd generation Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, who's grandfather established the first funeral home in Brady, Texas in 1902. He attended TCU and the Dallas College of Mortuary Science, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Jerome holds a Masters Degree from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice Specializing in Advanced Post Mortem Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, and is the Past President of the Hill Country Funeral Directors Association. He also owned a monument company, and was the founding president of a burial insurance company. Upon selling his family-owned funeral home, Jerome re-located to Terrell to assist our new family owners in re-establishing the high level of professional service which built Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home.

Steven Hawkins
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Steven started his career as a family service counselor. During that time he started his funeral service education at Dallas Institute of Funeral Services and began his funeral director/embalmer. He currently serves as associate pastor of a local church in Kaufman, TX. Being that familiar face and being able to provide them comfort during a difficult time is the most rewarding part of this job.
