Vivian Marie Slayton

Vivian Marie Slayton was born December 14, 1927 in Paden, Oklahoma to Henry Albert Woods and Della Nancy (Donathan) Woods.

Vivian was a medical receptionist/assistant for 20 years in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area and another 10 years in the Wise County area.

She was preceded in death by her husband - Melton Slayton; daughters – Melba Marie Slayton, Ann Bolin and Cathy Dillard; grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Slayton and Joshua Wayne Slayton; brother, Ray Woods; and sisters, Nadine Wright and Sue Lanning.

She is survived by sons, Steven Slayton, Ivan Slayton and wife Kelly; son-in-law, Clay Dillard; grandsons, Rick and Robbie Sweet, Jason Dillard, Shawn Slayton and wife Jenifer, Tanner Slayton and Jason Howard; great grandchildren Jace and Jett Dillard, Allen Sweet, Madison Slayton, Logan, Rylee, Kinley and Hunter Slayton; great-great-granddaughter, Hope; sister Lucille Caywood.

Vivian was a wise and loving mother to her children and loving “Nanny” to her grandchildren. She was beloved and treasured by her family.
