Vanna Sayavong Phounsavath

Vanna Sayavong Phounsavath, born on August 8, 1961, in Vientiane, Laos, passed away on May 13, 2025. She arrived in the United States on April 20, 1980, and settled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with her older brother, his family, and her younger siblings. Vanna married her beloved husband, Khamleck Phounsavath, on November 4, 1984, and together they moved to Terrell, Texas, where they lovingly raised their children and grandchildren for nearly four decades.

Vanna dedicated 27 years of her career to Fuji Film in Terrell before retiring. She was known not only for her commitment to her work but also for her vibrant spirit and dedication to family. Vanna cherished her hobbies, which included watching Thai dramas on YouTube, solving word search puzzles, and video chatting with those she held dear.

She is survived by her eldest daughter, Christine Somers of Mesquite, TX; her youngest daughter, Mally Delgadillo of Terrell, TX; and her son, David Phounsavath of Terrell, TX. Vanna also leaves behind her loving siblings: Kham Rushing-Xayavong of Dumas, TX; Sam Sayavong of Keller, TX; Thongleaune Sayavong of Anchorage, Alaska; Tommy K Sayavong of Anchorage, Alaska; and Seng Xayavong-Sumong of Maha Sarakham, Thailand; her two grandsons whom she adored and loved spending time with Jax Delgadillo and Achilles Somers.

Vanna was preceded in death by her husband, Khamleck Phounsavath; her eldest brother, Mouth Sayavong of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her eldest sister, Nouane Xayavong of Vientiane, Laos.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on May 24, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home located at 301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX 75160.

Vanna Sayavong Phounsavath will be remembered for her love of family, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering dedication to those she cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
