Tyna Box

Tyna Marie Box, aged 61, of Terrell, TX passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. Tyna was born on February 3, 1962, in Dallas Texas to David McGee Sr. and Frances (Hill) Stanton.  Tyna grew up in Florida but ended up graduating from Edgewood High School in Edgewood, Texas. Tyna was an Accountant for over 20 years and then started a new career as a Nursery Specialist at Lowe’s. This job was perfect for her because she was able to share her vast knowledge of plants and gardening which allowed her to help people.  Tyna loved to cook and was well known for her chocolate pie.  She loved spending time with her four daughters, grandchildren, grand puppies and family.  Tyna was always ready to go on a new adventure and always had her, “spend the night bag” ready.  She knew no strangers just described them as friends she hadn’t met. Tyna loved the Phantom of the Opera and would sing it loud to wake up her girls on the weekends.  Tyna performed in several theatrical productions at the Talent Box in Wills Point, Texas and volunteered her family members to act in plays or work on the set.  She was an outgoing and free spirit that loved to laugh and dance.  She loved watching cooking and home design shows.  Tyna loved collecting old kitchen playsets, robots, and other unusual knick knacks.  She was an active member of the Eastern Stars until she started to have problems with her health.   Tyna had a smile and laugh that was infectious and would light up a room and even on her most difficult day she was able to make others feel better about themselves.  She is survived by Frances (Hill) Stanton Mother; David McGee Sr. Father and wife Karen McGee; David McGee Jr. Brother; Noel Oglesby Sister; Suzan Pool Sister and husband Tommy Pool; Frances Serrano Daughter; Jasmine Harmon Daughter; Maegan Vazquez Daughter; Faith McGee Daughter and partner Terry Kinchen Jr.; Ethan Giordano Grandson; Ayden Harmon Grandson; Zaliyah Morris Granddaughter; Zaylee Morris Granddaughter and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Grand dogs, and Friends.
