Stanley Robert Ewaniak was born on August 17, 1931 to his parents Joe Pete and Mary Frances in Harrah, Oklahoma. On August 6, 2023, he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and was welcomed by our Lord. He was always a very hard worker and served in the Army for three years before marrying his wife Raymonda “Ramona” Glowski and moving to the Dallas area. Their love story has lasted over 65 years and is an inspiration to their five daughters and their families. Stanley worked as a diesel mechanic in the trucking industry for over 35 years. He was very skilled with his big, strong hands and could fix almost anything whether at work or home. His sense of humor led to many pranks over the years that kept everyone laughing and he made many friends. He prioritized his Catholic faith, wife and family over everything and was strong, kind and loving to all. Throughout his life, he enjoyed so many simple things including a pot of coffee in the morning, fishing, camping, boating, dancing with Ramona at the Czech Hall, gardening, grilling, road trips, riding his tractor, classic country music, playing with his pups, a good meal and a cold beer. He was very talented at refurbishing tractors in his retirement and enjoyed his home in Poetry with Ramona until his final days. Even at age 91 he could retell stories of good times over the years with his many friends and large family. Stanley was an amazing husband, Daddy and PawPaw; he was a big man with an even bigger heart who will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
He leaves behind his wife Ramona, sister Patricia Fallon, daughters (and their spouses) Frances Parrent (Steve), Cindy Gardner (Paul), Joyce Paul (Jeremy), Jeanette Eckert (Bret), Debbie Reese (Bobby) and grandchildren Jerod and Brandon Parrent (Yennling), Meredith Stroup (Justin), Kimberly Currie (Isaiah), Hayley Newman (Bill), Claire Eckert, Evan and Nathan Paul, Travis Miller (Katherine) and Lindsey Miller, along with great grandchildren Melody Ann and Luke Stanley Stroup, and his special neighbor friends, Chad, Mandi and Jackson West, in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.
