Billy Don Lowrance, affectionately known as Mr. Bill, passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 84 in Joshua, Texas. He was born on March 19, 1939, in Venus, Texas to his parents Raymond and Viola Lowrance.

Throughout his life, Bill had a diverse range of accomplishments and experiences. He dedicated 12 years of his career to Regal Tool & Rubber Company as a Production Supervisor, showcasing his exceptional work ethic and commitment to his craft. Bill also spent 10 years as a business owner, running several bars where he created welcoming spaces for people to come together and enjoy themselves. In addition to these ventures, Bill was also the proud owner of Mr. Bill Trucking and drove trucks for many years. The open road held a special allure for him, and he tackled each journey with enthusiasm and dedication. Bill’s spirit of service extended to his community as well. He served as the Fire Chief of the Seven Points Volunteer Fire Department—a role that showcased his courage and selflessness.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bill found joy in building cars alongside his younger brother and attending races. This shared passion allowed them to bond over their mutual love for automobiles and the thrill of the racetrack.

Despite all these achievements, Bill considered being a father, grandfather, brother, and friend to be some of his proudest accomplishments. He cherished the role he played in his family's lives and took great joy in nurturing those connections.

Billy Don Lowrance is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Viola Lowrance; as well as his siblings Chuck Milton, Helen Holder, Sue Lowrance, and Danny Lowrance.

He is survived by his loving children: Angela Sutton of Joshua, Texas, and April Puente and her husband Leo Puente of Joshua, Texas. Billy Don's grandchildren—Corey Ray Sutton, Casey Lee Sutton, Candace Dawn Sutton, Destine Dawn Puente, and Desiree Danae Puente—were a source of immense pride and joy for him. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren who held a special place in his heart. His brother Edwin Lowrance of Nocona, Texas, along with extended family members, who mourn his loss deeply.

The family will be receiving friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the visitation event taking place on January 24, 2024. The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home located at 301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX 75160. A Graveside Service will be held on January 25, 2024, at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. The service will commence at 2:00 PM to honor Bill’s life and legacy.

Billy Don Lowrance's infectious spirit and unwavering commitment to his loved ones and community will forever be remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, and boundless love that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
