Obituary

Mary Carmen Rangel, age 62, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Rockwall, Texas. Mary was born on July 13, 1963, in Camargo, Mexico, to Carmen Campos and Alfredo Rangel-Olveda.

Above all, our mom loved her family. Her children, her husband, and the home she created were the center of her world. She poured herself into making home feel warm, beautiful, welcoming, and full of love. It was never just a house—it was comfort, safety, laughter, and togetherness because of her.

She was bright, brave, creative, loving, and direct. She had a beautiful way of making people feel seen, cared for, and deeply loved. Her laugh was contagious, her presence brought comfort, and she gave so much of herself to everyone around her.

She found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved to sing and dance, decorate, cook, shop, and surround herself with flowers, sparkles, and all things pink. Saturdays were made for garage sales and Target trips, and she never turned down tacos or something sweet for dessert. She had a gift for turning ordinary days into memories we will treasure forever.

She loved deeply, cared endlessly, and gave her family more than words could ever express. Her faith was strong, her love was unconditional, and the life she built will continue to live on through all of us.

We will remember her in every song, every flower, every pink sunset, every family meal, every garage sale adventure, and every moment that feels like home. We are forever grateful to have been loved by her, and forever changed because she was ours.

Mary is survived by her husband, Juan Alcaraz; daughter, Lucy Rangel; daughter, Melissa Alcaraz; son, Erick Alcaraz; son-in-law, Ricardo Lopez; daughter-in-law, Erika Ojeda; 8 siblings; and last but not least, her beloved “grand dogs”, Teddy, Coco, and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen and Alfredo; grandchild, Elenny Alcaraz; brother, Hugo Rangel; and her nephew, Alejandro Rangel.
