Lynn Morris Roberts, 80, passed away on September 30, 2026. Born in Tyler, Texas, Lynn was the son of Willie Morris "Babe" Roberts and Merle Roberts. He grew up in Sulphur Springs, Texas, alongside his four sisters: Wilma Harkins, Janice Roberts, Annice Roberts, and Sherry Roberts. His East Texas upbringing and family roots remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.
Lynn proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. His dedication to serving his country was another reflection of the values he carried throughout his life: commitment, responsibility, and devotion to those he loved.
Lynn also had a great sense of humor and a natural ability to connect with people. He loved interacting with others, striking up conversations, and joking around with those around him. His willingness to have a little fun and make people laugh was a memorable part of his personality, and those who knew him will remember the smiles and laughter he brought with him.
Lynn was a proud and hardworking provider for his family. He began his career as an electrician before learning the HVAC industry and starting his own business in the early 1980s. What began as a business became a family legacy, with both of his sons, Cory and Damion, working alongside him and helping build the family business. Lynn spent many long hours and countless extra days working to ensure that his family was provided for. His work ethic, determination, and commitment to his family were defining qualities throughout his life.
While Lynn worked hard, his greatest joy was his family. He loved sports, especially when his children and grandchildren were participating. Lynn and Janet made it a priority to attend as many of their children's and grandchildren's sporting events, FFA events, and other activities as they possibly could. Whether sitting in the stands, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being there to support them, Lynn believed in showing up for the people he loved.
He was a proud grandfather to Addison Roberts, Leyton Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Audrey Roberts, Emily Allen, Samantha Wampler, Annaliese Madher, and Katelyn Blackman. He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Raegan Allen, Jackson Allen, Madison Allen, Caroline Wampler, Kathryn Wampler, Truman Mahder, Emma Mahder, Hazel Blackman, and Hudson Blackman.
His family was his greatest accomplishment and one of the greatest sources of joy and pride in his life. The time he spent supporting his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren created memories that will be cherished for generations. He had
Lynn is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Cory Roberts and his wife, Jill Roberts; Damion Roberts and his wife, Stacy Roberts; and Melissa Virnau and her husband, Jeff Virnau; his eight grandchildren; his nine great-grandchildren; and his sister, Wilma Harkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Babe" and Merle Roberts, and his sisters Janice Roberts, Annice Roberts, and Sherry Roberts.
Lynn leaves behind more than a family business and a lifetime of hard work. He leaves behind a legacy of putting family first, working hard, being there when he was needed, and loving his family through every season of life.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the family he worked so hard to provide for, the children and grandchildren he so faithfully supported, and the generations that will follow.
He was a husband who provided, a father who sacrificed, a grandfather who showed up, and a man who loved his family with all his heart.
He was loved. He will be missed. And he will never be forgotten.
