Linda Darlene Myre, aged 72, passed on to the next phase of her journey on June 9th, 2023. Her passing was mourned by those who had known her - friends and family alike. Linda was born in Dallas, Texas on July 27th, 1950, to Sam Posey Dotson and Katherine Wallace.
Linda graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1969 after which she entered the workforce. To all who knew Linda, she was recognized for her laid-back personality, kindness, and welcoming nature which made others feel at ease. It was these qualities and her faith that endeared her to everyone she came across.
Linda's love of horses led her down a path filled with adventure as she raced her thoroughbred horse Cenisa under her own name, which remains one of her most celebrated accomplishments. Her genuine love of horses also led to an avid interest in horse racing for which she enjoyed dedicating much of her time.
A devoted Christian woman of faith, Linda endeavored to live an exemplary life by valuing honesty, integrity, and kindness towards others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Posey Dotson & Katherine Wallace, and by both her ex-husbands, Billie Joe Myre and Jerry Sulc.
Linda is survived by Tonyia Dotson of Austin, Texas (Sister), David Myre of Dallas, Texas (Son), William Myre of Kerens, Texas (Son), Brendan Myre of Garland Texas (Grandson) and Garrett Myre of Kerens Texas (Grandson).
We join together on June 14th at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas to celebrate Linda's life at 11:00 AM during the funeral service event type followed immediately by an interment event held at Oakland Cemetery in Terrell commencing at approximately 12:15 PM.
Linda will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched with her kind, loving spirit. Even in death, she will always remain an inspiration to us all.
