Lillie Mae Todd

Lillie Mae Todd, age 98, of Chandler, TX passed away in her home on July 28, 2022. Lillie was born December 15, 1923 to parents William Joseph (Slim) Deville and Metta Mae Deville (Moore) in Bernice, LA.

Lillies biggest joys in her earlier years in life were watching her son Michael Todd play football and baseball, spending time with her granddaughter Wendy, watching her ride her horses in different parades or rodeos she would attend. In her later years in life Lillie loved her time spent with all her great grandchildren, telling them stories about her life, showing them how to bake bread, cookies and make her specialty Mac N Cheese. She shared every ounce of who she was with her great grandchildren, she loved everything they did.

Lillie lived life to the fullest and was the epitome of a strong woman. She single handedly provided for her son by securing a job at Exxon where she later retired after countless years of her service. After retirement she was able to purchase 20 acres of land in Terrell, TX where she enjoyed many years of fishing, riding horses and raising cattle. She shared her passion of living on the land with all her family.

Lillie was a woman of faith and a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart and she made sure she shared that with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. There is no greater legacy she could have left in their lives.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents William (Slim) Deville and Metta Deville; brother William Joseph (Junior) Deville; son Michael Gregory Todd; nephew Charles Deville and niece Janice Peachee.

Those left with cherished memories are her sister Martha Geneva (Deville) Scoggin; granddaughter Wendy Kay Rollins and husband Kalon; grandsons Michael Dugan Todd, Austin Michael Artz; niece Tanya (Scoggin) Lair and husband Chris Lair; nephews Steve Scoggin and wife Vanessa and Glen Deville; her beloved great grandchildren who meant the absolute world to her, Ty Nathan Templeton, Riley Nicole Templeton and Taylor Kay Templeton along with a host of numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
