Larry Davis Ray, 79, of Terrell, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2026.Larry was born on August 23, 1946, in Nashville, Arkansas, to Parker and Mary Pearl Ray. He grew up in Dallas, Texas, and began working at an early age to help support himself and his mother. Larry started his career cooking pancakes but went on to become a Master Plumber, dedicating more than 30 years of service to several companies throughout his career. On April 9, 1965, Larry married the love of his life, Beverly Ray, and together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Twenty-eight years ago, Larry and Beverly made their home in Terrell, where they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Larry enjoyed fishing, but his favorite pastime was sitting on his back porch, feeding the squirrels, raccoons, and any other woodland animals that stopped by for a visit. Above all else, Larry treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Parker and Mary Pearl Ray; five siblings; and one granddaughter, Katherine Ray. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Beverly Ray; his sons, Daniel Ray and wife Rebecca Riggs, Jeffery Ray, Timothy Ray and wife Bobbi Ray, and John Ray; his grandchildren, Meagan, Stephanie, Julia, Layton, and Johnathan; his great-grandchildren, Andrew, Audrey, Matthew, and Alyce; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
