Karla Alphin

Karla Rene Alphin, born Karla Rene Perkins on October 16, 1959, in Germany, passed away on February 5, 2024. She was known for her vibrant spirit and loving nature. Karla had a profound love for traveling in her RV with her beloved fur babies Coco and Preston. She cherished these adventures alongside her Ride-or-Die best friend Rachel Johnston.

Among her many passions, Karla enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching Star Wars, and nurturing gardens and flowers. She had a heartwarming habit of "adopting" individuals who needed maternal care, embodying the motto: "No one should go through life without a mother, so now you're stuck with me."

Karla Alphin's legacy lives on through her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her son, Shaun Baldwin of Gainesville, TX, along with her sons-in-law Matthew Baldwin of Gainesville, TX and Richard Holt of Wills Point, TX. William Holt and Lucas Holt will fondly remember their grandmother.

Additionally, Karla is survived by Darla Woodward (Alphin) of Three Forks, MT, and Dennis Alphin of Mabank, TX – her cherished step-daughter and step-son respectively. John Kruschke of Greendale, WI stands as a supportive brother-in-law. Her niece Kathy Anderson from West Salem, WI; her two nephews Jerrell Kruschke and Craig Kruschke from Milwaukee, WI; half-sisters Trisha Windor of Jacksonville, AR; Tonya Jean Perkins of Leesburg, TX; also mourn this loss.

Karla is now reunited with her father, Paul Perkins of Winnsboro, TX, her mother Karole Held of Milwaukee, WI, her sister LeeAnn Kruschke of Greendale, WI, and her daughter Roseanna Holt of Wills Point, TX who preceded her in death. Although she will be deeply missed, their spirits are surely rejoicing in her arrival.

Karla Alphin's extensive Nomad Community presented an extended family that she treasured deeply. Special gratitude is expressed to Gustavia Miller and Margie & Jeff Ashmore for their unwavering support during challenging times.

A Memorial Service to honor Karla's life will be held at The State Theatre in Gainesville, TX on May 11th starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM.

Karla Rene Alphin leaves behind a legacy of compassion and inclusivity that will be remembered by all who knew her. Her nurturing presence will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
