John Max Risinger

John Max Risinger, age 87, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on October 16, 1938, in Baird, Texas, to Lena Schwartz and John Raymond Risinger.

John was a proud Air Force Veteran who served his country in Vietnam as an Intelligence Officer. He later went on to be the Electrical Engineer for Channel 4 News. He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing, Prairie Dog hunting, skeet shooting, collecting coins, and guns. No matter what he was doing, you could count on him to find humor in a situation and share it with others. Above all, he loved his wife Carolyn with his entire heart.

John is survived by his son, John David Risinger, sister, Carmon Risinger-Harmon and husband Buddy. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Carolyn Ann Ross, and his parents, Lena and John Raymond Risinger.
