Janet Lee Blake, age 83, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on January 1, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, to Donna (Bartholomew) and Newell Park.
Janet was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Janet loved traveling, card games such as 42 Dominoes and Hand and Foot, spending time with family, and praising her lord, Jesus Christ. Janet attended Richardson High School and went on to attend Southwestern Medical School for a few years. After her time in school, she met and married Charles David on September 23, 1961. Janet and Charles were stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, when they welcomed their daughter, Terri, on November 18, 1968. Shortly after, they moved to Germany in the pursuit of Charles’s service.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Terri Cole; granddaughter, Audrey Hamilton and husband John and great-grandson Owen; granddaughter, Molly Valdelmar and husband Hilarion and great-grandchildren, Adelina and Hilarion; sister-in-law, Pat Blake; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Charles David Blake, and her parents, Donna and Newell Park.
