Helen Mae Mack passed away in Terrell, TX, on March 2, 2024. She was born on June 11, 1926, in Springfield, VT, to the late Carl James Costello and Vivian Lucy Tatro Costello Foster.
 
 Helen's journey through life was marked by resilience and adaptability. As a military wife, she traversed the globe and called many places home - from the serene landscapes of Goosby Labrador to the bustling streets of Tokyo Japan where she welcomed her beloved son Kim into the world. Helen also weathered the challenges of natural disasters, including surviving the Good Friday earthquake in Anchorage Alaska in 1964. Her adventurous spirit led her to reside in various states across the US, including Arizona, New Mexico, Aptos California, Mt Sinai New York, Garland Texas, McKinney Texas, and finally settling in Terrell, TX. Despite her worldly travels, she held a special place in her heart for her hometown in Vermont and made sure to visit her family there whenever possible.


In her professional journey, Helen dedicated herself to serving as a Sears sales associate. Her commitment and warm demeanor touched the lives of many customers over the years. Beyond her career, Helen found joy in various hobbies and interests such as reading the newspaper, supporting the Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys teams, and collecting beanie babies and glass figurines.
 
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Marilyn Irene Costello LeDrew, Lila Costello Mansur, Marie Foster Angel, and Ruthie Foster Douglas. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew them.
 
She is survived by her son Kim Iton Mack of Terrell, TX; daughter-in-law Christie Mack of Terrell, TX; grandson Noah Zane Mack of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter in law Tiffany Stanley Mack of Ft Worth, TX; granddaughter Miranda Zoe Mack of Dallas, TX; niece Sheryl LeDrew Smith of Springfield, VT; nephew Brent LeDrew of Springfield; nephew Michael Mansur of New Mexico; niece Maureen Mansur Haley Mathie of East Port, MA; niece Jean Douglas Bolaski of Springfield, VT; niece Donna Douglas; and nephew Shawn Angel of Homestead, FL.
 
Helen Mae Mack will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her work, and love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
