Deborah Ann Sykes, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 8, 1951, to parents of Ralph and Letha Fifer, Debbie was a dedicated individual whose legacy includes a lifetime spent loving and nurturing her family.
Debbie proudly retired after many years of service at Texas Instruments, a testament to her commitment and hard work. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted family member. She married Timothy Sykes on June 24, 1972, in La Belle, MO, a union that has been the cornerstone of her life and is celebrated by all who know them. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter and support. Debbie is survived by her husband, Timothy Sykes; daughters Rebecca Cvar and husband Frank of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Sheri Sykes and husband Chad Ellis of Frisco, Texas; and son Troy Sykes and wife Heather of Forney, Texas.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Timothy Sykes and wife Jamie, Michael Sykes, Ainsley Ellis, and Blake Cvar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who admired and loved her dearly. Debbie found joy in nurturing her family and was always eager to celebrate their accomplishments, big and small.
She is also survived by her siblings: Donnie Hall, Dianne Brumbaugh, Darrell Fifer, George Fifer, Eddie Fifer, and James Fifer, who remember her as a devoted sister and a source of encouragement and love.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Fifer and Letha Fifer; brother Danny Hall; and beloved nieces Leah Hall and Tracy Hall, along with her nephew Jeff Brumbaugh. Her absence leaves a void that will be profoundly felt among all who knew her, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those who carry forward her legacy of love and dedication to family.
She will be remembered fondly for her kindness, warmth, and commitment to those she loved, ensuring that her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
