Danny Barnes Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 5, 2023, in Kaufman. He was born on May 8, 1955, in Dallas to the late Rayford Barnes and Atha Louise Barnes-Stover.

Known for his warm heart and kind soul, Danny touched the lives of everyone he met. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Danny's journey through life was filled with joyous moments and memorable experiences. He had an adventurous spirit and a love for riding Harley Davidsons. In addition to his love for riding motorcycles, Danny found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished being outdoors, taking in the beauty of nature. He found relaxation in baking and cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. Danny worked for Ernie Bell's Hot Rodz Café as one of their top cooks, each dish he prepared was infused with love and care. He also had a knack for woodwork and created beautiful pieces that will be treasured for generations to come.

Danny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kimberly Jo Glidewell Barnes; his loving children Angel Keating, Linda Barnes, Amanda Barnes, Danny Ray Barnes Jr., Matthew Butler, Michelle Butler Corona, and Chris Barnes; as well as his cherished 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Louise Botvin, Nell Greenhaw, Minnie Stringer, and Ruby Boynton.

Danny was preceded in death by his father Rayford Barnes, mother Atha Louise Barnes-Stover, stepfather Nelson Stover, son Joshua Butler, and granddaughter Victoria Butler.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Danny's life on August 19, 2023, at ReChurch in Kaufman. The service will begin at 12:00 PM, located at ReChurch 113 N Jackson St, Kaufman, TX, 75142.
