Charles Jack Thompson

Charles Jack (Charlie) Thompson, age 82 of Royse City, TX, passed away February 27th, 2024. He was born January 18th, 1942 in Terrell, TX, to C.J. & Opal A. (Harrell) Thompson. In his 82 years, Charlie lived a colorful life, and did many things.  He was primarily self-employed as a carpenter and contractor. He is survived by his wife: Paula (Barnes) Thompson of Royse City, TX; sons: Charles Jack (C.J.) Thompson II & wife Stacey Gallegos of Dallas, TX, and Charles Ross Hogan of Linden, TX; daughter: Talina Fields and husband John of Lindale, TX; grandsons: Austin Fields of Lindale, TX, and Jeff Fields of Austin, TX. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister Glenda Sue Thompson. Per Charlie’s request, there will be no services to attend.  All who knew him knew he was not one for fanfare or to be fussed over.  His only wish was that you would drink a beer in his name and reminisce on the good times.
