Billy Charles Maulden

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, at the age of 76, Billy C. Maulden of Terrell passed away on the morning of December 24th.  He was home surrounded by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
 
Bill was born on December 28th, 1946, in Terrell, TX.  He grew up in a loving family with his mother Billie Ruth Dau, his stepfather Larry Dau, and sister Elaine.
 
Bill married Deborah Rodenbough on May 10th, 1968.  They settled in the Mesquite/Forney area where they lived and raised their two children: Jason and Debbie.  After the children were grown, Bill and Debbie moved to their farm in Terrell where they remained happily married for 55 years until he passed.
 
Bill was a loved and respected employee of Tempo Mechanical until his retirement after 40+ years of service.  Early in life, his hobbies revolved around cars and racing but later turned to farm projects, family ancestry and solitaire.
 
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Billie Ruth and Larry Dau and his uncle, Redell Gross.  He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son Jason (wife Cheryl); his daughter Debbie (husband Niko); his three grandchildren Justin (wife Ashley), Nicholas (wife Baylee), and Joshua (wife Jordan); his five great grandchildren Grant, Levi, Hadlee, Lane, and Jace; his sister Elaine Dewitt.
 
A memorial service will be held graveside on Tuesday January 2nd at 2pm at Oakland Memorial Cemetery, 1000 W Moore Ave, Terrell, TX 75160.
