Highland Memorial Gardens Visitation & Floral Guidelines
The following is a summary for publication of the Rules and Regulations adopted by the Board of Directors of Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitors are reminded that Highland Memorial Gardens is a sacred place. Slow speed, quiet, and reverence must be observed at all times. Highland Memorial Gardens is not public property, but rather a private Memorial Park. The right is reserved to refuse admittance to anyone at any time.
Visiting hours are from 8:00am to Sunset, daily. Children under sixteen years years of age are not permitted in the park unless accompanied by an adult. Young children must be closely supervised by an adult.
Placement of fresh or artificial flowers is permitted in a cemetery approved container year-round.
The following exceptions to this regulation apply only on the holidays specified:
Placement of wreaths, pot plants and baskets is permitted only on Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothers' Day, Father's Day, and Memorial Day. Arrangements may be placed during the week before each holiday and will be removed by the park staff after the 8th day following the occasion.
Christmas wreaths, pot plants and holiday grave decorations may be placed at anytime after the Friday before Thanksgiving. All decorations will be removed by the park staff during the fourth week in January.
All waste paper and discarded flowers must be placed in the rubbish containers provided for them.
Planting of shrubbery and flowers is not permitted.
Planting of trees is not permitted except with the (express, written) approval of the Park Superintendent, and all planting must be done by the park staff.
